Secretly Unstable

I have been told I am crazy, funny, a good cook, and a decent blogger. These are the expectations I am trying to live up to. Thank you.

Today is my first day back after being off from XMAS to 1/2! Its definitely an awesome perk of the advertising industry. Most agencies are closed for the week, and you get this time on top of your vacation time. Its sweet! I didn't do much of anything last week, here's my top 10 of things I did, week of 12/26:

1. Had pigs in a blanket at Duke's in Union Square and I used a $10 off coupon from my Dine A Deck. (Monday)
2. Got a free Le Tigre CD from Virgin Megastore since the dummie clerk can't subtract or apply a coupon. (Monday)
3. Watched the entire 1st season of Veronica Mars (Tuesday)
4. Saw King Kong with Danny, Kate, Josh, and Andrew, I really enjoyed Andrew's commentary throughout the 3 hour movie. (Tuesday)
5. Checked out the Cobble Hill New York Sports Club. It was nice. (Wednesday)
6. Rode the bus for $1. (Wednesday)
7. Organized all of the kitchen cabinets. (Thursday)
8. Ate free pizza with Derek, Janina, Mike, Carli, Sarah, and Kate at Alligator Lounge, also enjoyed Carli's performance of Total Ellipse of the Heart, turn around bright eyes. (Thursday)
9. Spent the day with Justine and Janina walking all around Brooklyn, followed up by a wonderful dinner with Mary. (Friday)
10. New Years Eve at Janina's with some of my favorite people in the world.

But a wonderful week doesn't help make getting back to work after the holiday any easier. Especially with the awful weather we have today! When that alarm went off at 7AM this morning I could have whined loud enough to wake up Sweetpea. I finally dragged myself out of bed by 7:30, and was out and about by 8:15.

Everything on my commute was going fine, even though I had to push my way to the back of the bus (why do people think that they are still going to get into heaven if they don't move to the back of the bus when the bus is crowded? Straight to hell with them,) until I got on the train. The train sat between Wall Street and Fulton Street for 30 minutes due to a sick passenger that they couldn't move off the train in front of us. Now why couldn't they move this person? Did they suffer a neck injury on the train? Did they refused to get off? Or did some skinny ass decide not to eat for the past 48 hours in celebration of a new years resolution; pass out, and the MTA took their sweet time with them?

I walked into work 30 minutes late and have been answering a few emails, returning a few calls, and buzzing around on Myspace. The day is almost over and I am planning on going to the gym and reading fan fiction for Firefly on the ellipitical. Fun.

At least I have a trip to Disney and a trip to Vegas to look forward to! Oh and MLK day is coming up! THREE DAY WEEKEND!

Feel free to abuse me if you had to work last week. My spoiled ass would deserve it!

This weekend the Bluebeats are playing at Magnetic Field! See Magnetic Field in my top 8 for more information.
